POSTED 10-11-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy college football. Facts don't lie and The Drill is full of 'em. Projections for the weekend of Oct. 12-Oct. 14. Stats through Oct. 10:

WILL HUDGENS
Memphis, QB
Comment: In a rare bright spot for the Tigers, Hudgens threw for 346 yards on 30-of-45 attempts with two touchdowns in a 24-21 win against Marshall.

DAMION FLETCHER
Southern Miss, RB
Comment: Fletcher rushed 23 times for 142 yards in a tough loss 31-29 against Rice. He scored two touchdowns.

KEENAN BURTON
Kentucky, WR
Comment: The Wildcats lost but Burton's had a game-high seven catches for 76 yards.

GARY BARNIDGE
Louisville, TE
Comment: Huge day in another disappointing loss for his team — eight catches, 93 yards and a score.

PAT MCAFEE
West Virginia, K
Comment: Six extra points and two field goals, including a 49-yarder. Not a bad day in a 55-14 win over Syracuse.

AUBURN
Defense
Comment: Where were they early on? The newly ranked Tigers held a solid Vandy team to a touchdown and 221 total yards.
ZAC CHAMPION
Louisiana Tech, QB
Comment: Coach Derek Dooley wasn't upset about the 151 yards his team had passing. He was upset about it coming on 31 attempts.

RASHAD SLAUGHTER
UAB, RB
Comment: Rushed 12 times for 43 yards with a long of eight.

D.J. HALL
Alabama, WR
Comment: The Tide's regular go-to guy had only 19 yards on three catches.

MARCUS STONE
North Carolina, TE
Comment: One catch for 12 yards — at least he had a good average.

CHRIS SUMMERS
Purdue, K
Comment: Without a late touchdown, he would have left with zero points instead of one.

HAWAII
Defense
Comment: Does it really matter how much you scores when you keep giving up 37 points?

MATT GROTHE
South Florida, QB
Comment: He's good for a couple hundred yards and two scores.

MIKE TEEL
Rutgers, QB
Comment: Should follow up a bad game with a good one. Won't be a problem against Syracuse.

RAY RICE
Rutgers, RB
Comment: Sure, start both of them. The Knights tend to get 300 yards in the air and 200 on the ground, plenty of sharing for Teel and Rice.

MIKE HART
Michigan, RB
Comment: Start arguably the best player in college football against a Purdue team allowing 250 on the ground.

RAY SMALL
Ohio State, WR
Comment: 70 yards and a score against Purdue and he sees Kent State this week.

ARRELIOUS BENN
Illinois, WR
Comment: Benn had five catches at 10 yards per game and the freshman will continue to produce and find more and more end zones with all the focus on Rashard Mendenhall.

TRAVIS BECKUM
Wisconsin, TE
Comment: This guy never stops, leading Saturday's loss to Illinois with 11 catches for 160 yards.

DEREK FINE
Kansas, TE
Comment: Four catches and 38 yards — not a bad day last week. Expect more against Baylor, possibly from a short game against a good Baylor pass defense.

DANIEL LINCOLN
Tennessee, K
Comment: The Vols chewed Georgia up, think they won't do more at Mississippi State. Lincoln will get his chances.

ALEX TRLICA
Texas Tech, K
Comment: His only concern is getting too tired in an explosive offense.

SOUTH CAROLINA
Defense
Comment: North Carolina's run stops here. The ole ball coach doesn't want them to score.

BOSTON COLLEGE
Defense
Comment: Sorry Golic, the Eagles may keep the Domers out of the end zone.

MARK SANCHEZ
USC, QB
Comment: With Booty hurt, and the Trojans facing a good Arizona team after a rare loss, don't risk it.

JIMMY CLAUSEN
Notre Dame, QB
Comment: Clausen and the Irish may be setting up a lot of hype for just another loss and not a big day for Jimmy.

P.J. HILL
Wisconsin, RB
Comment: Penn State is allowing 80 yards per game on the ground. Give Hill a rest just this once.

RAFAEL LITTLE
Kentucky, RB
Comment: The Wildcats will need a lot of air in this one. Sit the runner.

KYLE WILLIAMS
Washington State, WR
Comment: Oregon is too good against the pass to risk starting Brink's man.

BRADON GODFREY
Utah, WR
Comment: Godfrey had a touchdown on six catches in the win over Louisville, but don't expect it two weeks in a row.

TODD BLYTHE
Iowa State, WR
Comment: Big game last week in big loss to Texas Tech, but the Cyclones aren't good enough to use their guys each week.

BRANDON KING
Duke, TE
Comment: Two receptions for nine yards against Wake doesn't bode well against Virginia Tech.

NICK TWO-ARNETT
Minnesota, TE
Comment: No catches against Indiana. Just not a good idea to start a Gopher in a rough year.

MICHAEL TORRES
Central Florida, K
Comment: Potential upset could rely on his leg, but it may be close and low scoring until then.

CHRIS SUMMERS
Purdue, K
Comment: After seven points last week for his team, don't count on 28 this week.

MIAMI
Defense
Comment: If you saw what the Heels did to them, you won't start them against the Yellow Jackets.

ALABAMA
Defense
Comment: The way Ole Miss has improved, the Tide could get torched deep a few times.

MISSOURI @ OKLAHOMA

Saturday 6:30 p.m. ET
The Tigers shrugged off a lot of doubters by beating Nebraska. Now they have to try it again against the Sooners. In a game more about Mizzou than Oklahoma (outside of Norman at least), the Tigers own their highest ranking since 1981. Oklahoma can't afford to lose another one so this one should be a slobber-knocker.
