OMAR HAUGABOOKk
Troy, QB
Comment: Haugabook threw 371 yards on 33-of-48 passing with a touchdown and an interception in a win against Oklahoma State. He also scored two touchdowns on 13 rushes for 49 yards.
KEVIN SMITH
Central Florida, RB
Comment: In a 35-32 loss to the Texas Longhorns, Smith scored two touchdowns and gathered 149 yards on 27 carries.
JORDY NELSON
Kansas State, WR
Comment: Nelson caught a crazy 15 passes for 209 yards against Missouri State last week.
DENNIS PITTA
BYU, TE
Comment: The sophomore averaged 18.8 yards on six catches in a 55-47 loss at Tulsa. Do the math and that's 113 yards and a touchdown.
GARY CISMESIA
Florida State, K
Comment: Without his 3-for-3 field goal performance, the Seminoles would have won a little less comfortably, as if 16-7 was comfortable.
LSU
Defense
Comment: Middle Tennessee was held scoreless nine days after putting up 42 at Louisville.
KEVAN SMITH
Pittsburgh, QB
Comment: Smith threw just 18 passes and completed only half of them for 85 yards last week. He averaged 4.7 yards per completion, putting him right there in Chris Weinke NFL territory.
MIKE MALONE
Western Carolina, RB
Comment: Malone had the only touchdown in a 45-16 loss at Georgia. He scored it, however, with nine yards on 13 carries.
D. JOHNSON-KOULIANOS
Iowa, WR
Comment: DJK had the most yards of any Hawkeye receiver in a 15-13 loss to rival Iowa State. His whopping total: 30 yards on two catches. Good average though.
ROB GRONKOWSKI
Arizona, TE
Comment: Has nearly as many letters in his last name as he did catches against New Mexico (2).
TREVOR COOK
Miami (OH), K
Comment: Cook didn't get many chances in a 47-10 loss to Cincinnati. He had a 27-yarder and a PAT.
MINNESOTA
Defense
Comment:Giving up 42 points to Florida Atlantic; not a HOT week.
SAM BRADFORD
Oklahoma, QB
Comment: So far so good. No reason he shouldn't continue his 274 yards per game effort against Tulsa.
KENDRICK LEWIS
Indiana, QB
Comment: In a 41-24 win against Akron, Lewis accounted for five touchdowns, two rushing, on 199 yards and 18 rushes. He completed 19-of-24 passes for 137 yards.
ANTHONY ALLEN
Louisville, RB
Comment: Syracuse has given up 35 points or more in an 0-3 start. Anthony Allen had 96 yards and two touchdowns last week in the loss to Kentucky. Oh, and the Orangemen are giving up 266 rushing yards per game.
MARLON LUCKY
Nebraska, RB
Comment: Too good of a ratio to turn down. Ball State is allowing nearly 270 rushing yards per game and Marlon Lucky is averaging nearly 120. Plus, Nebraska is unhappy about losing to USC last week and Ball State is the unfortunate rebound.
JESSIE HESTER, JR.
South Florida, WR
Comment: Hester had six catches for 64 yards in a win against Auburn two weeks ago and should have a repeat, if not double, against 1-2 North Carolina.
ERNIE WHEELWRIGHT
Minnesota, WR
Comment: His Golden Gophers lost but Wheelwright scored two touchdowns on five catches for 43 yards.
CONNOR BARWIN
Cincinnati TE
Comment: After a six-catch, 109-yard performance against Miami (OH), why wouldn't you start this guy?
ANDREW QUARLESS
Penn State, TE
Comment: He finished with only 21 yards, but had two touchdowns. Would it even matter if he had only five yards? As long as he's finding the end zone twice it's ok.
TRAVIS BELL
Georgia Tech, K
Comment: If running back Tashard Choice isn't able to go, the Jackets may have to kick more than they want.
BRANDON WALKER
Notre Dame, K
Comment: If the offense isn't going to score touchdowns, fine. Let the kicker score you some points.
HAWAII
Defense
Comment: Finally back in paradise, the Warriors shouldn't give up too many points against Charleston Southern.
OREGON
Defense
Comment: The Ducks should be able to hold the Trees in check. Michigan scored only seven on them and Stanford scored only 17 on UCLA.
C.J. BACHER
Northwestern, QB
Comment: If Northwestern managed only 14 against Duke, what do you recommend doing with its quarterback against an quickly improving Ohio State defense? Sit em'!
BRETT HODGES
Wake Forest, QB
Comment: Maryland is allowing less than 120 passing yards per game. Enough said.
ANTHONY DIXON
Mississippi State, RB
Comment: Passed the 100-yard mark in a win against Auburn, but with the emergence of Christian Ducre, a backfield by committee may be in effect.
CHRIS JENNINGS
Arizona, RB
Comment: Cal is giving up only 129.7 rushing yards per game so don't expect big things from the senior.
JARETT DILLARD
Rice, WR
Comment: No matter how excited you are about Chase Clement, Texas isn't the right opponent for you to gamble on with one of his receivers.
LUKE SWAN
Wisconsin, WR
Comment: Swan is going up against a Hawkeye defense allowing 150 yards per outing.
ANDY BOYD
South Carolina, TE
Comment: Boyd has been non-existent in South Carolina's offensive schemes. And with a strong LSU squad coming to town, South Carolina will be hard pressed to score.
MICHAEL PALMER
Clemson, TE
Comment: One catch for 12 yards isn't getting you anywhere. Sorry Mike.
KEVIN KELLY
Penn State, K
Comment: Kelly has just three field goals through the first three weeks of the season. Facing Michigan in a televised game, Penn State will find the end zone just enough to eke out a win.
LEIGH TIFFIN
Alabama, K
Comment: The Georgia Bulldogs tough defense will keep the offense at bay and make scoring opportunities few and far between.
SOUTH CAROLINA
Defense
Comment: South Carolina faces a tough LSU team that is averaging 45.5 points a game. And the Gamecocks offense can hardly be described as prolific.
VIRGINIA
Defense
Comment: Georgia Tech is bouncing back from a tough loss against Boston College and will be looking to make Virginia pay. This is a team that put up 69 points in a win over Sanford just two weeks ago.
