Every Dog Has His DAY

There are rotisserie heroes and fantasy goats. But some performances are so ugly, egregious or plain perplexing that it begs the refrain: What the F--k! Here is Update's seriously twisted moment this week.

So much for friends sticking together. The final two co-defendants in Michael Vick's dogfighting trial are set to offer plea agreements later this week. That means Vick alone will face a full court inquiry — one that could very well lead to his imprisonment. WTF! With his friends turning on him almost daily now, Vick is almost certain to face such an insurmountable mountain of evidence that it is a wonder he doesn't just drop to his knees and beg for mercy. At least then he might get a shorter prison sentence and be back on the gridiron while he's still got some talent left. But this is unlikely. Vick is set to go through with a lengthy trial in which he has the slimmest of chances. And still he seems intent on living his life in a kind of daze, unaware of the precariousness of his position. Nary an announcement or an apology has been offered by Vick. He has let his lawyers do all the talking; but maybe his friends bailing on him will finally shake him up a little. Hell, that had to have hit him harder than any defensive lineman could have!
