YORVIT TORREALBA
Colorado Rockies, C
Comment: Averaging an RBI per game in the 2007 post-season. Had a big home run in Arizona in Game 3 of the NLCS.
RYAN GARKO
Cleveland Indians, 1B
Comment: Hitting .313 in the ALCS so far and has an on-base percentage of .419 throughout the entire post-season.
ASDRUBAL CABRERA
Cleveland Indians, 2B
Comment: 21-year old has had some gritty at-bats in the playoffs this season, becoming somewhat of a pest to opposing pitchers.
JHONNY PERALTA
Cleveland Indians, SS
Comment: Peralta has been on fire all throughout the playoffs: .361 AVG, 2 HR, 9 RBI, 6 R, 1 SB in nine games.
MIKE LOWELL
Boston Reds Sox, 3B
Comment: Continues to be an RBI machine as he has driven in six runs so far in the ALCS and nine runs total in the 2007 playoffs.
MATT HOLLIDAY
Colorado Rockies, OF
Comment: NLCS MVP has been unreal in the way he's carried this Rockies offense. Here are his post-season totals so far: .286 AVG, 4 HR, 7 RBI, 5 R, 0 SB in seven games.
BRAD HAWPE
Colorado Rockies, OF
Comment: Hit .333 in the NLCS and while the rest of his stat-line may not jump out at you, he is getting on base consistently.
JOSH FOGG
Colorado Rockies, SP
Comment: Has been baffling hitters in the 2007 playoffs: 2-0, 1.12 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 8 SO in eight IP.
JEFF FRANCIS
Colorado Rockies, SP
Comment: Has been as crisp as the Colorado air in the post-season so far: 2-0, 2.13 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 12 SO in 12.2 IP.
KELLLY SHOPPACH
Cleveland Indians, C
Comment: Is actually hitting .500 in the post-season this year, too bad he only starts when SP Paul Byrd is hurling.
TODD HELTON
Colorado Rockies, 1B
Comment: It's nice that Helton might win a title while remaining loyal all these years to Colorado, but having only one extra base-hit throughout the post-season shows that he has not been a big part of this Rockies run.
KAZ MATSUI
Colorado Rockies, 2B
Comment: .235 average in the NLCS raises some concern about how he'll handle the pressure and he will face tougher pitching in the World Series.
TROY TULOWITZKI
Colorado Rockies, SS
Comment: Rookie did nothing against the Diamondbacks offensively and his .179 average so far in the playoffs reveal that Tulowitzki may be a bit in over his head.
GARRETT ATKINS
Colorado Rockies, 3B
Comment: Simply put, he's been awful this post-season: .185 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in seven games.
MANNY RAMIREZ
Boston Red Sox, OF
Comment: Ramirez's "who cares" comments are just another example of Manny being...well, stupid. He better hope he hits well the rest of the series.
WILLY TAVERAS
Colorado Rockies, OF
Comment: Scored three runs in the NLCS, but hit just a measly .167 in those games.
FRANKLIN MORALES
Colorado Rockies, SP
Comment: Pitched decently in the NLCS, yet he only lasted four innings. When considering that he also only threw three innings in the NLDS in a start against Philadelphia, you can see that he has a short leash.
C.C. SABATHIA
Cleveland Indians, SP
Comment: Sabathia's playoff pitching continues to be a problem, perhaps he is worn down from the 241 innings he threw in the regular season.
