The Lineup is here to dish out fantasy insight on all things baseball. Here are five storylines you should be following this week:

BUEHRLE TO METS?
With the Chicago White Sox reportedly on the brink of blowing up their team, the New York Mets are looking to possibly make a move. The New York Times reports, "The Chicago White Sox may offer Mark Buehrle, who is a free agent after the season, but, if they want [outfielders Carlos] Gomez or [Lastings] Milledge, [Mets GM Omar] Minaya would not listen for too long." The New York Mets are loaded with pitching and offensive talent in the minors, so if the White Sox are really going to start over, the Mets would make an ideal trading partner. It remains to be seen how stingy Minaya is going to be with talented youngsters such as Milledge, Gomez and pitchers Philip Humber and Mike Pelfrey. At least one of those guys would likely have to be included in a deal in order to obtain Buehrle, who threw a no-hitter this season and is 14-5 in the regular season against National League teams. Should the Mets obtain Buehrle, his fantasy value would increase significantly with a move to the NL. Track any developments on this story closely since the Mets may want to move on a deal soon due to their horrible play of late.

ANGELS: HEAVENLY SCHEDULE
The Los Angeles Angels are playing some great baseball these days and they'll look to continue their impressive 2007 season when they square off against the Kansas City Royals at home before traveling to Baltimore to take on the bumbling Orioles. There really is no need to recommend elite outfielder Vladimir Guerrero as he is a must-start option every week. Pitcher Jered Weaver, who gets a start against the Royals this week, is a heavily-recommended play as he owns a sparkling 1.83 ERA in three career starts against Kansas City. Another player who should be started against Baltimore is speedy outfielder Reggie Willits, the emerging star is hitting .376 on the road this season. Starting pitcher John Lackey, who is having a terrific season, pitches against the O's and is a smart start; he owns a 3.38 career-ERA against Baltimore. Super-utility man Chone Figgins, fresh off an impressive fantasy week that saw him go 6-for-6 in one game, should play well against the Orioles as he sports a nice .313 career average against them. When a team is playing as well as the Angels are, fantasy owners should take notice and enjoy the ride.

TOP BILLINGS
Not too long ago, Chad Billingsley (the talented, young power-pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers) was a popular sleeper pick oozing with upside. That is, before manager Grady Little decided he would open the season working out of the bullpen. Fantasy owners should hop right back on the bandwagon though, as the LA Times reported, "The Dodgers need [Billingsley] the starter-turned-reliever to help shore up their rotation for the foreseeable future after learning that Jason Schmidt will undergo exploratory arthroscopic shoulder surgery." In his first start this past Thursday, Billingsley only lasted three and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs, two hits, three walks and striking out two. Do not be too discouraged, a major reason he was lifted so early is because the Dodgers need to extend him (he only threw 70 pitches in that game). Billingsley had an impressive 3.34 ERA as a starter last season — his rookie year. He had a 3.09 ERA working out of the bullpen before the move to the rotation averaging over a strikeout per inning. With a mid-to-high 90s fastball and above-average slider, Billingsley has the potential to really help a lot of fantasy teams in need of pitching help. The job is his to lose and he will have two starts this coming week against the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Diego Padres, monitor these performances to see if he does enough to cement a spot in the rotation.

AL EAST SWAP?
The New York Yankees would love an offensive upgrade at first base. The Tampa Bay Devil Rays are desperate for relief pitching help. Perhaps these two would be perfect trading mates as The St. Petersburg Times reveals, "the Yankees are rumored to be interested in slugging 1B Carlos Pena and could make pitcher Sean Henn available . . . If the Yankees can't get Pena they could pursue Ty Wigginton." Pena is a former top-prospect who never managed to live up to his pre-1998 amateur draft projections. This year, though, he is quietly batting over .300 and is on pace to hit over 30 home runs. If the Yankees were to acquire Pena, his fantasy value would see a nice uptick as his RBI opportunities and run scoring would likely see a significant increase in that Yankee lineup. The fact that the Yankees could get him on the cheap makes a deal look very possible, particularly if the asking price on first basemen like the Texas Rangers' Mark Texeira remains high. Sean Henn would not gain or lose any real value as a middling middle-relief option. Should the focus of a trade shift to Ty Wigginton, he would stand to gain fantasy value hitting for New York's potent lineup, though Pena would be the more attractive fantasy option. Stay tuned for any updates regarding this matter.

BRADLEY DESIGNATED
After three stints on the DL this season, the Oakland Athletics have designated outfielder Milton Bradley for assignment this past Thursday. According to The Beaver County Allegheny Times, "The Athletics have 10 days to trade, release or outright Bradley's contract to the minor leagues. Two sources with direct knowledge of the situation said that the [Pittsburgh] Pirates and San Diego [Padres] are trying to deal for Bradley." Wait, someone is tired of dealing with Milton Bradley?! In all seriousness, Bradley is a very talented player who just happens to be one of the most combustible figures in sports. To be fair, the A's designating him for assignment is more due to their outfield being too congested rather than Bradley being a headache. A move to Pittsburgh would do little for his fantasy value while donning a Padre uniform could make Bradley a viable fantasy commodity in deeper leagues. Batting in front of someone like Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzalez could do wonders for Bradley's run totals and San Diego could definitely use a switch-hitting outfielder with pop. A deal or move could happen any day with this small window of time the A's have, so look out for any news involving Bradley this week.
