Comment: He may have 30 HR, but his May BA of .321 now seems like an staggering aberration.

Comment: Battling a hamstring strain. And although he is expected to play this week, he has just 3 hits in his last 7 days.

Stats: .241 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB
Comment: Overall season average of .251 is not what fantasy owners had in mind when drafting Wells.

San Francisco Giants, SP

Comment: Playing at Cincinnati (hitter-friendly ballpark) and St. Louis this week; Estrada is hitting .322 on the road this season.

Cincinnati Reds, C
Comment: His batting average can kill you (.205 BA at Great American Ball Park), but 10 of Ross' HRs have come at home this season in 104 at-bats.

San Diego Padres, 1B
Comment: Gonzalez has looked better over the past few games. He has better bigger numbers on the road (.266, 9 HR, 32 RBI, 27 R in 45 games).

Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 1B
Comment: Pena has solid numbers this year against the Baltimore Orioles (.385, 0 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R in 5 games) and Boston Red Sox (.300, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 R in 3 games).

Houston Astros, 2B
Comment: Chris Burke has been stealing some at-bats, but that's probably due to the fact that Biggio is hitting .197 on the road. At home he's hitting .302 with 31 runs in 43 games.

Colorado Rockies, 2B
Comment: Matsui is playing at home this week and is terrific at Coors Field with a line of .348, 3 HR, 14 RBI, 21 R and 6 SB in 21 games.

Cleveland Indians, SS
Comment: Completely different player at home in 2007: .342, 11 HR, 35 RBI, 37 R and 2 SB in 47 games).

Colorado Rockies, SS
Comment: Tulowitzki loves hitting at Coors Field (who doesn't?), where he is batting .307 with 5 HR, 22 RBI, 22 R and 2 SB in 42 games this season.

Colorado Rockies, 3B
Comment: Favorable career numbers against the San Diego Padres (.310, 4 HR, 25 RBI, 23 R in 46 games) and Dodgers (.298, 8 HR, 32 RBI, 21 R in 46 games).

Houston Astros, 3B
Comment: Stats at Minute Maid Park this season are easy on the eyes: .322, 5 HR and 19 RBI, 18 R in 90 at-bats.

San Francisco Giants, OF
Comment: At home this week against the Atlanta Braves and Florida Marlins; Bonds is hitting .287 at home with 11 HR, 27 RBI and 31 R in 40 games.

Atlanta Braves, OF
Comment: Is smoking the ball on the road in 2007: .326, 7 HR, 34 RBI and 28 R in 193 at-bats.

Seattle Mariners, OF
Comment: Guillen is hot right now and has played well against both the Oakland Athletics (.323, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 7 R, 2 SB in 9 games) and the Texas Rangers (.321, 2 HR, 9 RBI and 6 R in 8 games) this season.

Florida Marlins, OF
Comment: Willingham has been noticeably more productive on the road with a .288 AVG, 7 HR, 34 RBI, 25 R and 2 SB in 46 games.

Cincinnati Reds, SP
Comment: The Reds have been a lot better recently and Arroyo has been pretty consistent against the Chicago Cubs in his career (4-5, 3.07 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 48 SO in 67.1 IP).

Milwaukee Brewers, SP
Comment: Viva Gallardo! Someone with his talent is a strong start, even on the road against the Cincinnati Reds and St. Louis Cardinals. Remember, he's still auditioning to keep his spot in the rotation.

New York Mets, SP
Comment: Throwing the ball real well of late and should be a strong start against the Washington Nationals despite his poor outing against them earlier in the season (5 IP, 6 ER and 3 HR allowed).

New York Yankees, SP
Comment: Great Second-Half track record and he has pitched effectively against the Kansas City Royals for his career (10-3, 3.17 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, 77 SO in 113.2 IP).


New York Mets, C
Comment: Batting a paltry .215 at home this season, one of many reasons why the Mets are likely to let him walk after 2007.

Boston Red Sox, C
Comment: Road stats can make a fantasy owner nauseous: .248, 4 HR, 15 RBI, 11 R in 38 games this season.

Chicago Cubs, 1B
Comment: Lee is actually homer-less on the road this season with just 17 RBI in 42 games away from Wrigley Field.

Atlanta Braves, 1B
Comment: The return of Julio Franco, along with the first-base at-bats by catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, spell the official end of Thorman's fantasy relevance.

San Diego Padres, 2B
Comment: Batting just .191 since May 7, Giles was benched for three games against the New York Mets.

Boston Red Sox, 2B
Comment: He's hitting .301 on the road this season, but he's not really helping fantasy owners anywhere else with 2 HR, 9 RBI, 16 R and 1 SB in 37 games.

Los Angeles Angels, SS
Comment: He's having a tremendous year, but his career averages against the Oakland Athletics (.234) and Detroit Tigers (.258) warrant a benching.

Chicago Cubs, SS
Comment: Just named the clear-cut SS, but wait until Theriot gets back to Wrigley next week. He's hitting at a .233 clip on the road this year with 0 HR and 9 RBI in 120 at-bats.

St. Louis Cardinals, 3B
Comment: Battling injury, Rolen is hitting a sad .255 at home this season and faces some tough pitching from the Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers this week.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 3B
Comment: Wigginton is having a hard time this season against the Boston Red Sox (.200) and Baltimore Orioles (.167).

New York Yankees, OF
Comment: Abreu's up-and-down season is due for another lull. He's hitting .233 on the road this season with just 2 stolen bases in 5 attempts.

Comment: Former Caveman's bat has been in mired in an ice age of a slump on the road, where he has a .203 average in 42 games.

Milwaukee Brewers, OF
Comment: A terrific surprise this season, but reserve him on the road, where he is hitting .248 and has just 5 HR, 17 RBI, 17 R and only 2 SB through 39 games.

Arizona Diamondbacks, OF
Comment: Young has an ugly .227 average at home where he has just 4 HR and 11 RBI in 49 games this season.

Pittsburgh Pirates, SP
Comment: In two career starts against the New York Mets, Gorzelanny is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA, 1.75 WHIP and just 2 SO.

Boston Red Sox, SP
Comment: Gets two starts this week, but one of them comes against the Cleveland Indians, who scored 6 runs on 12 hits in 5.2 innings against Dice-K on May 30.

New York Yankees, SP
Comment: The Moose is 9-6 lifetime with a 4.51 ERA in 121.2 innings against the Baltimore Orioles, including a 13.50 ERA in a start against the O's this season.

Arizona Diamondbacks, SP
Comment: Florida Marlins have had his number in the past. Lifetime statline for Webb is 2-3, 6.28 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 22 SO in 28.2 innings.

Comment: All eyes are on Hughes as the rookie nears a return to the Yankees' starting rotation. Hughes has claimed to be 100 percent healthly, stating he needs only to get his pitch count up before being fully prepared to rejoin the Yanks. He pitched four innings on Wednesday, giving up 2 hits and 1 run. He's scheduled to pitch again on Monday and will likely make one more appearance after that before getting the call to the big leagues. If Hughes is available in your league, snatch him up now. Remember, this kid took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in just his second Major League start before suffering a hamstring injury. He could be a great source of strikeouts and wins as the Yankees' fifth starter and as a No. 4 fantasy starter with big-time upside.


This could be a potential ALCS match-up with two very balanced baseball clubs. Detroit continues to play at a high level while the Angels are struggling a bit (4-6 in their last 10 games). Heading into the week, Los Angeles is 31-14 at home while Detroit is 32-17 on the road. The Tigers lead the season series 3-2, including a 12-0 Detroit blowout the last time the two teams met on May 24. The Angels will send Jered Weaver, Joe Saunders and Bartolo Colon to the mound while the Tigers counter with Andrew Miller, Jeremy Bonderman and Kenny Rogers.
