Colorado Rockies, 3B
Stats: .417 AVG, 4 HR, 13 RBI, 7 R
Comment: After slow start to season, Atkins' diet now consists of healthy RBI and HR totals.

ADAM LAROCHE
Pittsburgh Pirates, 1B
Stats: .481 AVG, 4 HR, 9 RBI, 8 R
Comment: Two HRs in Thursday's game powered the Pirates to win a four-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

JOHN MAINE
New York Mets, SP

Comment: Despite All-Star snub, Maine continues strong season with wins against Astros and Phillies.

RICH HILL
Chicago Cubs, SP
Stats: 0-1, 11.00 ERA, 2.00 WHIP, 11 SO
Comment: Hill's roller-coast season was down again as he suffered tough outings against the Brewers and lowly Nationals.

TORII HUNTER
Minnesota Twins, OF
Stats: .179 AVG, 0 HR, 1 RBI, 3 R
Comment: The once-torrid Torii had a rough time at the plate against Yankee pitching.

RICKIE WEEKS
Milwaukee Brewers, 2B
Stats: .048 AVG, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 1 SB
Comment: He's getting on base via walks, but this is not the player fantasy owners were hoping to draft.

BENGIE MOLINA
San Francisco Giants, C
Comment: Will be hitting against the Dodgers this week, whom he just happens to have a .330 average against.

MIGUEL OLIVO
Florida Marlins, C
Comment: Back-to-back ninth inning homers against Braves closer Bob Wickman has done wonders for confidence at plate recently.

CARLOS DELGADO
New York Mets, 1B
Comment: Four-hit night on Thursday allows average to inch just shy of .250, will head to hitter friendly Great American Ballpark this week.

CHRIS DUNCAN
St. Louis Cardinals, 1B
Comment: Has been seeing the ball real well recently; owns a .357 career average against the Philadelphia Phillies.

BRANDON PHILLIPS
Cincinnati Reds, 2B
Comment: Scored 9 runs this past week and sports a .320 lifetime average against the New York Mets.

PLACIDO POLANCO
Detroit Tigers, 2B
Comment: Added another three hits on Thursday to raise his season average to .334. Gotta love that Tiger offense too.

JASON BARTLETT
Minnesota Twins, SS
Comment: Has been running loose on the base-paths of late and Twins offense is starting to score more runs.

RAFAEL FURCAL
Los Angeles Dodgers, SS
Comment: Mr. Second-Half is finally starting to run (3 SBs) and put that injured ankle behind him.

RYAN BRAUN
Milwaukee Brewers, 3B
Comment: Stole two bags and drove two HRs out of the park while hitting over .400 this past week.

CHONE FIGGINS
Los Angeles Angels, 3B
Comment: Has hit well over .400 over the past month with 16 stolen bases in that span.

CARLOS BELTRAN
New York Mets, OF
Comment: Back-to-back two-homer games gives fantasy owners hope for one of those Beltran streaks.

JUAN PIERRE
Los Angeles Dodgers, OF
Comment: Swiped 7 bags in past week gives him 33 on the year. Batting over .350 during that time as well.

JEREMY GUTHRIE
Baltimore Orioles, SP
Comment: Quietly putting up ace numbers and he faces the anemic White Sox at home.

KENNY ROGERS
Detroit Tigers, SP
Comment: Squares off against hot Mariners team, but Rogers has only allowed two runs and garnered three wins in his first three starts this season.

BRIAN MCCANN
Atlanta Braves, C
Comment: Average continues to sink while backup catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is in his rear-view mirror.

A.J. PIERZYNSKI
Chicago White Sox, C
Comment: Mired in a terrible slump in that horrible White Sox offense. Wouldn't blame anyone for dropping him.

ADRIAN GONZALEZ
San Diego Padres, 1B
Comment: After hot start to season, Gonzalez's average has dropped to .265. Bench him until he straightens himself out.

DERREK LEE
Chicago Cubs, 1B
Comment: July has not been kind to Lee, who is hitting .214 this month.

JOSH BARFIELD
Cleveland Indians, 2B
Comment: Former sleeper-pick continues nightmarish season with inconsistencies at the plate.

MARCUS GILES
San Diego Padres, 2B
Comment: Really struggling to hit and hasn't stolen a bag since May 26.

BRENDAN HARRIS
Tampa Bay Devil Rays, SS
Comment: Has come back down to Earth after hitting .321 in June. Expect him to end up around his .277 career average.

JULIO LUGO
Boston Red Sox, SS
Comment: Finally ended 0-33 slide this past Tuesday, but is still a long way from earning fantasy owners' trust.

TROY GLAUS
Toronto Blue Jays, 3B
Comment: Just not himself, homerless in past 40 at-bats with a .200 batting average.

ALEX RODRIGUEZ
New York Yankees, 3B
Comment: Has gutted his way through a hamstring injury and decided at the last minute to play in the All-Star Game. Give him the week off if you have another alternative.

JASON BAY
Pittsburgh Pirates, OF
Comment: Hitting under .150 over the past month. Avoid playing him at all costs when he's this cold.

ADAM DUNN
Cincinnati Reds, OF
Comment: Batting just over .100 this week and .219 on the road this season.

MATT CAIN
San Francisco Giants, SP
Comment: Owns an ugly 8.56 ERA in his career against the Los Angeles Dodgers, whom he pitches against on Friday.

KEI IGAWA
New York Yankees, SP
Comment: This $46 million bust should not have a spot on anyone's fantasy roster right now, no matter how large the league.

Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter owns a .538 batting average at the All-Star Game, the second-highest ever.

20: Number of strikeouts for San Francisco Giants rookie SP Tim Lincecum's last two starts, including a career-high 12 K's against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

7-44.1: Ratio of earned runs to innings pitched for Carlos Zambrano since fighting in Chicago's clubhouse with former Cub catcher Michael Barrett.

0.82: San Diego Padres SP Chris Young's home-ERA this season in 8 games at Petco Park.

.538: New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter's career batting average in the All-Star Game, the second-highest in baseball history.

JOBA CHAMBERLAIN
New York Yankees, SP
Comment: Chamberlain has been dominant in the minor leagues this season, posting a 2.26 ERA with 99 strikeouts in 67.2 innings in time split between pitching for the Tampa Yankees and Trenton Thunder. His 6-inning shutout victory this past week against the Harrisburg Senators saw him fan 12 batters with the use of his improved change-up and mid-90s fastball. With Kei Igawa quickly falling out of favor, it would be interesting to see if the Yankees give Chamberlain a shot.

78TH MLB ALL-STAR GAME
San Francisco's AT&T Park offers a picture-perfect backdrop to the game, which is Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on FOX. The National League leads the series 40-35-2 since the first game in 1933, although the American League has won the last 10 match-ups. Texas Rangers shortstop Michael Young hit a ninth-inning, two-out, two-strike triple that scored the tying and winning runs in last year's Midsummer Classic; he went on to win the MVP award for the game. San Francisco Giants outfielder Barry Bonds will be starting in front of his home crowd and all eyes will be glued on the controversial slugger to see if he can slam one out of the park.
