This year's draft is not the deepest with regards to tight ends. In fact, there's not one blocker / receiver that seems like a definite first-rounder. So without further ado here are the 10 best, by default, tight ends you'll see in late April:

1. FRED DAVIS
USC
Comment: He's got good size (6-4, 248) and he is USC's all-time leader for receptions by a tight end. Davis won the John Mackey Award (top tight end) and is definitely the best tight end in this draft class. That being said, he most likely won't go in the first round. Projected pick, 41st overall in the second round by the Buffalo Bills.

2. DUSTIN KELLER
Purdue
Comment: With the departure of Jerramy Stevens, the Seattle Seahawks need a legit tight end. Keller could be that tight end. He established himself as one of the greatest blockers to ever play at Purdue and his 6-3, 242-pound frame promise endless potential. Look for Seattle to take him with their second round selection, 55th overall.

3. MARTELLUS BENNETT
Texas A&M
Comment: Bennett played on the A&M basketball team for two years before giving it up to concentrate on football. You know some other guys who excelled at two sports? Deion Sander and Bo Jackson. With Bubba Franks getting cut from Green Bay, don't be surprised if the Pack take Bennett in the second round, 60th overall.

4. JERMICHAEL FINLEY
Texas
Comment: He had a great career at Texas and ranks high on many of the school's tight end records. Now that the Atlanta Falcons got rid of Alge Crumpler, they most likely will take Finley with their third round pick, 68th overall.

5. BRAD COTTAM
Tennessee
Comment: He has had many surgeries and been injured frequently while at Tennessee, but I see the New England Patriots taking him in the third round with the 69th overall pick. With Kyle Brady gone, it's a strong possibility.

6. JACOB TAMME
Kentucky
Comment: He was the first tight end in school history to be named first-team All-SEC twice and he graduated with a high GPA. He's a smart player and a good athlete at 6-4, 232 punds. Expect him to go in the third round, 82nd overall, to the Minnesota Vikings.

7. JOHN CARLSON
Notre Dame
Comment: He caught 95 passes for 1,331 yards and 23 touchdowns and had 133 rushing attempts for 493 yards and seven scores. Carlson also returned kicks, to boot. Carlson is likely to get picked in the top spot of the fourth round, 100th overall, by the Miami Dolphins.

8. KELLEN DAVIS
Michigan State
Comment: He's a monster at 6-7, 262 pounds, but he also has good hands and speed. This guy has the overall package, and I could see the Carolina Panthers scooping him with the 141st overall pick in the fifth round.

9. MARTIN RUCKER
Missouri
Comment: He's the brother of Carolina Panthers defensive end Mike Rucker, so it's all in the genes. He had a stellar career at Missouri and has good size. Expect the Detroit Lions to pick him 144th overall in the fifth round.

10. CRAIG STEVENS
California
Comment: He played in 50 games at Cal and is a great blocker. This guy will make a splash in the NFL and is a big-time player. The Jacksonville Jaguars will probably take him 159th overall in the fifth round.
