POSTED 10-18-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy football. Facts don't lie and The Huddle is full of 'em. Projections for the week of Oct. 19-Oct. 22. Stats through Oct. 17:

TOM BRADY
New England Patriots, QB
Comment: This guy has thrown three or more touchdown passes in every game this season. He is treading unprecedented ground and when all is said and done he will be the quarterback we compare the next big thing to.

LADANIAN TOMLINSON
San Diego Chargers, RB
Comment: The LT we all know and love is back! He proved it last week by scorching the Raiders for 200-plus all-purpose yards and four touchdowns. It's a shame the Chargers are on a bye this week — who knows how many yards he might have.

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: When he's on, he's on. But there's no way of knowing when he might show up. He certainly had a game last week against the Jets, catching five balls for 121 yards and a touchdown. There's a chance "Good Curtis" might be at The Linc on Sunday when his Iggles take on the Bears and their weak D, but never rule out seeing "Bad Curtis."

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: The touchdown record for tight ends belongs to Gonzalez, and he might just add to his total against the rival Raiders this week. The past two games he's had 100-plus yards receiving and two touchdwons. Nobody has been hotter as of late than Gonzalez.

STEPHEN GOSTKOWSKI
New England Patriots, K
Comment: When your quarterback throws an average of three touchdowns a game, the kicker is always hot. Expect him to keep the points rolling in as long as Tom Brady is his man.

PACKERS
Defense
Comment: Their defense practically won the game against the Redskins on Sunday.

CHAD PENNINGTON
New York Jets, QB
Comment: He's a bum and his time as quarterback of the Jets is almost up. Mangenious has got to get it through his thick skull that starting Kellen Clemens is the only way to salvage the season.

TRAVIS HENRY
Denver Broncos, RB
Comment: He only gained 65 yards on 16 carries last week against the Chargers. John Law might not have been able to get Henry, but the Steelers defense will.

CHAD JOHNSON
Cincinnati Bengals, WR
Comment: Ocho Cinco has not scored a touchdown since Week 2; he only has 136 yards on 11 catches in the last two games combined. His game has not been nearly as big as his ego this season.

ALGE CRUMPLER
Atlanta Falcons, TE
Comment: Crumpler has not been putting up great numbers; the most yards he's had in a game is 63 and he's only crossed the goal line once. He's been frustrated about the lack of receptions he gets (the most he's had is six and he averages 3.1), but what does he expect with Joey Harrington holding down the fort?

DAVID AKERS
Philadelphia Eagles, K
Comment: Green-Akers' Meadowlands woes continued the past two games as he went four-for-seven on field goal attempts against the G-Men and Jets. The Birds are playing the Bears at home this week, so look for him to bounce back.

DALLAS COWBOYS
Defense
Comment: They gave up 48 points last week. Granted they were playing the Pats, but aren't they supposed to be this big juggernaut of a team?

TOM BRADY
New England Patriots, QB
Comment: He's on fire like nobody in the history of football. He's playing one of the worst pass defenses in the leagues against the ‘Phins this week. Start him if you got him.

JEFF GARCIA
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, QB
Comment:The Bucs are playing the Lions and Detroit ranks 30th against the pass. Expect Garcia to put up good numbers and maybe even a few touchdowns.

REGGIE BUSH
New Orleans Saints, RB
Comment: Bush had the longest run of his career last week against the Seahawks and this week he's going against the Falcons. Atlanta gives up an average of 132 yards a game, so expect Bush to stay the course and have a great game.

MAURICE JONES-DREW
Jacksonville Jaguars, RB
Comment: Drew rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns the past two weeks combined. He's on a roll, expect him to expose an overrated Colts rush defense

PLAXICO BURRESS
New York, WR
Comment: He's tied for the league lead in touchdowns and he never practices. He's going to have a great game at home against the Niners; count on him for a few scores.

TERRELL OWENS
Dallas Cowboys, WR
Comment: He hasn't been putting up "TO numbers." He has only 124 yards on 11 catches with one touchdown the past three games. It's possible Owens sets new fantasy records this Sunday against the league's worst pass defense — the Minnesota Vikings.

JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: Again, he's going against the league's worst pass defense and the Cowboys are going to want to prove that they're for real after last week. Witten could put up some big numbers this week, so don't hesitate to start him.

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: He's broken the 100-yard mark the past two weeks. That trend will continue against the Raiders this week.

MATT STOVER
Baltimore Ravens, K
Comment: He's 18-for-21 on field goal attempts this year. The Ravens are playing Buffalo, a team that gives up points by the bushel. Count on Stover for many extra points and possibly a field goal or two.

DAVID AKERS
Philadelphia Eagles, K
Comment: The good news for him is he doesn't have to kick at the Meadowlands anymore this season. Akers will bounce back and have a great game at home against the Bears.

NEW YORK GIANTS
Defense
Comment: The G-Men are for real and they will stop the Niner offense, or lack there of.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Defense
Comment: The Ravens are going to eat the Bills alive. Expect a lot of fantasy points from Baltimore.

CHAD PENNINGTON
New York Jets, QB
Comment: Pennington is not going to have a good day, despite the fact that the Jets are playing the Bungles. This could be Pennington's last start as Kellen Clemens is waiting on the doorstep.

CLEO LEMON
Miami Dolphins, QB
Comment: Yes, he did have a great first start filling in for Trent Green. Yes, he did put up some impressive numbers. No, he is not going to do it again this week, especially against New England. Don't be fooled; this guy is a real lemon.

TRAVIS HENRY
Denver Broncos, RB
Comment: The Steelers are getting Palamalu back and will be a revamped team. Avoid this matchup at all costs.

MARION BARBER
Dallas Cowboys, RB
Comment: Barber will not get many carries simply because the Vikings have the worst pass defense and are second against the run. Obviously, Wade Phillips will want to pass more than run; that means fewer carries for Barber. Even more so if he's splitting carries with Julius Jones.

ANDRE JOHNSON
Houston Texans, WR
Comment: It's a game-time decision if he’ll be ready to go, in other words, don't take the risk. If he doesn't know if he's able to go by mid-week, he probably won't do much.

SANTANA MOSS
Washington Redskins, WR
Comment: He took himself out of the game after some sloppy play. Who knows if he'll be right on Sunday? Stay away from this guy at all costs.

JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: Shockey has yet to break a 100 yards receiving on the year and only has one touchdown. He's not getting as many passes with Plax stepping up.

TODD HEAP
Baltimore Ravens, TE
Comment: Heap only played a quarter and did not catch a single pass last week. He also did not practice on Wednesday, which means he's not 100 percent, which means you shouldn't start him.

JEFF WILKINS
St. Louis Rams, K
Comment: With the Rams offense as bad as it is, Wilkins will not get many opportunities to kick. There's no reason to even have him on your team.

MORTEN ANDERSON
Atlanta Falcons, K
Comment: The Falcons' offense is garbage and cannot move the ball. Plus, Anderson's skills are waning with each passing year.

MIAMI DOLPHINS
Defense
Comment: They're playing the undefeated New England Patriots. Enough said.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Defense
Comment: They're playing the undefeated Indianapolis Colts. Enough said.

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh has a touchdown in each game this season.

56 New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is on pace to throw 56 touchdowns this season.

7 New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's second half stats were better than seven other quarterbacks total Week 6 stats.

3 TJ Houshmandzadeh has over 100 receiving yards in each of his last three games and seven touchdowns on the year. He's quietly flying under the radar and having a phenomenal year.

0 Not once this season has Tom Brady threw fewer than three touchdowns in a game.

CLEO LEMON
Miami Dolphins, QB
Comment: Lemon had 256 yards, two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns last week. He stepped in for the injured Trent Green and made his presence felt. Be weary of his second start though. The Dolphins are playing the Patriots and rumor is they're pretty good this season.

TOM BRADY
vs. Dolphins defense
Comment: How many touchdowns will he throw this week? Against the Dolphins depleted defense, anything is possible. Look for the Pats to reach triple digits on Sunday afternoon.

BRIAN WESTBROOK
vs. Chicago defense
Comment: Westbrook has put up absurd numbers the past two games he played in. The Bears let Adrian Peterson run all over them last week. It will be interesting to see who steps up on Sunday.

ADRIAN PETERSON
vs. Dallas defense
Comment: Can Peterson duplicate his 224-yard, three-touchdown stats from last week? How will Dallas' defense react to the beating they got last week? These answers and more from Dallas at 4:15 on Sunday afternoon.

TODD HEAP
Baltimore Ravens, TE
Comment: No statement has been made as to whether Heap will play on Sunday, but he didn't practice on Wednesday and he only played a quarter last week.

ANDRE JOHNSON
Houston Texans, WR
Comment: He's a game-time decision. Johnson was able to run on Wednesday, but did not practice.

STEVE MCNAIR
Baltimore Ravens, QB
Comment: McNair will not start until after the team's Week 8 bye in an effort to rest his ailing groin and back.

SAMMY MORRIS
New England Patriots, RB
Comment: Morris was said to have hurt his collarbone and will not play on Sunday. It has not been said how long he'll be out.

TONY ROMO
Dallas Cowboys, QB
Comment: Romo, who was seen icing his non-throwing shoulder after Sunday's game, will be fine. Romo will be the starter for the Cowboys' next game against the Vikings.

CHIEFS @ RAIDERS

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS-TV)
One of the all-time great rivalries in football; without many marquee matchups this weekend, this one will be a must-see.
