BRETT FAVRE
Green Bay Packers, QB
Comment: At this time last season everyone was talking about how to make this guy retire, this season he leads the league in passing with 2,757 yards. He just threw for his third consecutive 330-plus yard game and has at least two touchdowns in each game over that span. Long live the ageless one.
BRIAN WESTBROOK
Philadelphia Eagles, RB
Comment: Westbrook gained 150-plus all purpose yards and scored two touchdowns in each of the last two games, both of which against divisional opponents. He should stay hot this week against the lowly Dolphins.
BRAYLON EDWARDS
Cleveland Browns, WR
Comment: Although Edwards had only one catch for 16 yards last week, he made it count. The reception was his tenth touchdown of the season, which is a Cleveland record for receivers.
JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: His team got killed but he had a good game. Shockey caught 12 passes for 129 yards (both career highs) and a score.
ROB BIRONAS
Tennessee Titans, K
Comment: This guy hasn't missed a field goal since Week 5. No other kicker has been hotter than him and he should keep up the points with a lackluster offense.
San Diego Chargers
Defense
Comment: They managed to intercept the almighty Peyton Manning six times. Anytime you do that you go right to this list.
PEYTON MANNING
Indianapolis Colts, QB
Comment: You never expect to see him on this list, but when you set an Indy franchise record for interceptions in a game (six) it's bound to happen. Don't expect him to remain over here on the dark-side for long though.
JAMAL LEWIS
Cleveland Browns, RB
Comment: Besides a fluke game in Seattle, Lewis hasn't produced much. He only had 35 yards last week against the Steelers and this Sunday should not be much easier. He's facing his old team and they're going to want to hit him often.
T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH
Cincinnati Bengals, WR
Comment: For the first time all season Housh' was held to limited fantasy points as his illustrious touchdown streak ended. Look for him to bounce back with a big game against the Cardinals this Sunday.
JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: He only managed 12 yards on two catches last week against the G-Men. Expect him to bounce back against the 'Skins this week.
ADAM VINATIERI
Indianapolis Colts, K
Comment: Vinatieri missed two field goals in one game for the first time since 2001. He's only converted two of his last five attempts. Is this the same kicker who was draining last-second field goals in the playoffs with no problem or an imposter?
NEW YORK GIANTS
Defense
Comment: They got lit up for 31 points against Dallas and they're heading into the second half of the season, where they don't have the best track record. They need a statement game in Detroit more than any team in the history of the sport.
DEREK ANDERSON
Cleveland Browns, QB
Comment: Anderson scrounged together a solid game against the Steelers last week; there's no telling what he'll do to the Ravens this week. The Browns are one of the best stories in football this season. Bet against this guy and you will lose. Fact.
DONOVAN MCNABB
Philadelphia Eagles, QB
Comment: McNabb knows he's on a short leash in Philly. One wrong move and he'll be slurping his Chunky Soup in another city. D-Mac now has the proverbial chip on his shoulder and it should enhance his play. Start him and expect big things.
JOSEPH ADDAI
Indianapolis Colts, RB
Comment: Addai had just 56 yards in a miserable game against the Chargers. He's going to want to make it up this week when the Chiefs come to town. Expect Addai to spear the Chiefs and have a great day.
WILLIE PARKER
Pittsburgh Steelers, RB
Comment: Silly Willie has six 100-yard games in nine contests. This Sunday he's facing the Jets who rank worst in the league against the run. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize this match up is dead-sexy.
T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH
Cincinnati Bengals, WR
Comment: Coming off his worst game of the season, Housh' will want to bounce back in a big way this week. Start him and put last week out of your mind; He says he's sorry about that and it will not happen again.
RANDY MOSS
New York Giants, WR
Comment: The bye week gave coach Bill Belichick an extra week to conjure up new ways to exploit the Buffalo defense. Look for Moss to grow on all sides of the tree this Sunday.
TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: Mr. T is going to light the Dwight Freeney-less Colts defense up. I pity the fool who doesn't start Gonzalez.
JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: What can you say about Witten that hasn't just been said about Tony Gonzalez? They both had bad games and, similar to the aforementioned, Witten will be looking for revenge stats against the Redskins.
LAWRENCE TYNES
New York Giants, K
Comment: He's bringing glory back to the initials. L.T. missed just one kick in the last six weeks and he's playing in a dome this Sunday. C'mon, do it.
DAVID AKERS
Philadelphia Eagles, K
Comment: Akers has converted just four of his last six field goals. This week though, he's going to get a lot of points off all the touchdowns his Iggles will score against the Dolphins.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Defense
Comment: The Eagles will crush Miami and make sure they don't become the first victory for the 'Phins. Expect a fired up Birds defense at the Linc this week.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Defense
Comment: The Minnesota defense will have no problem with the Raiders this week. Expect them to manhandle the Silver and Black and earn you plenty of points.
JOHN KITNA
Detroit Lions, QB
Comment: He's facing a New York defense that was embarrassed by a division foe last week. Strahan & Co. will be looking for blood, Kitna's blood. Don't expect much from this guy.
JASON CAMPBELL
Washington Redskins, QB
Comment: This week Revolution is facing a Cowboy defense that ranks third amongst the league in sacks. By halftime, Campbell is going to hate Dallas more than JFK does. Forget about this match up; it's no good.
REGGIE BUSH
New Orleans Saints, RB
Comment: He took a serious helmet-to-helmet hit last week, which might be reason not to start him. You never know about the dangers of concussions and what-not.
CEDRIC BENSON
Chicago Bears, RB
Comment: He has a terrible yards/per average and Rex Grossman is his starting quarterback this week. With the Seattle defense not having to worry about a passing attack, they can focus on Benson. It's a bad move to start him here, steer clear.
LAVERANUES COLES
New York Jets, WR
Comment: He's only broken 100 yards receiving once this season. Chances are he won't do it against the nitty-gritty Pittsburgh defense this Sunday. Stay away from this guy.
PLAXICO BURRESS
New York Giants, WR
Comment: His numbers have dropped the past few weeks. With a bad ankle and the Giants notoriously playing like trash the second part of the season, Plax might make enticing trade bait.
BEN WATSON
New England Patriots, TE
Comment: He's coming off an injury so he might not get many looks.
DALLAS CLARK
Indianapolis Colts, TE
Comment: A concussion kept Clark out last week against the Bolts, so even if he does play he probably won't get many looks.
SHAUN SUISHAM
Washington Redskins, K
Comment: He missed an extra point. You can't do that in this league.
JAY FEELY
Miami Dolphins, K
Comment: The Dolphins aren't going to move the ball into field goal range in Philly, especially with a rookie quarterback. Starting Feely this week is a big mistake.
DENVER BRONCOS
Defense
Comment: Vince Young and LenDale White are going to shred the Broncos defense. Don't expect much from the Orange Crush this week.
WASHINGTON REDSKINS
Defense
Comment: Three reasons not to start Washington's defense this week: 1. Tony Romo 2. Terrell Owens 3. Marion Barber.
