POSTED 11-8-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy football. Facts don't lie and The Huddle is full of 'em. Projections for the week of Nov. 8-Nov. 12. Stats through Nov. 7:

BEN ROETHLISBERGER
Pittsburgh Steelers, QB
Comment: After throwing five touchdowns against the Ravens in the pouring rain, Big Ben now gets to pick apart a Browns defense that ranks worst in the league. Expect him to be on this list next week too.

ADRIAN PETERSON
Minnesota Vikings, RB
Comment: He set the single-game rushing record (296) against the San Diego Chargers as a rookie last week. Enough said.

SANTONIO HOLMES
Pittsburgh Steelers, WR
Comment: Holmes had four receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns in the pouring rain Monday night against the Ravens. When Big Ben gets him the ball, good things happen.

JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: Witten had three catches for 77 yards and a touchdown last week in Philly; He also ran for about 20 yards after his helmet was ripped off. This guy is for real and shows no regard for his safety. Plus, he's been one of the most consistent tight ends all year.

JASON HANSON
Detroit Lions, K
Comment: Hanson has put up double-digit points for the past three weeks. Recently, he has been the Tom Brady of kickers.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Defense
Comment: They manhandled the Ravens last week and beat Cincy the week before that. The Steel Curtain is back and Pittsburgh looks like a bunch of true contenders.

DONOVAN MCNABB
Philadelphia Eagles, QB
Comment: He threw two picks and fumbled once against the Cowboys last week. Now he's claiming that the Eagles' struggles aren't his fault. He's doing a bang-up job of running himself right out of Philly.

EDGERRIN JAMES
Arizona Cardinals, RB
Comment: He hasn't broken 100 yards rushing since Week 2 and he had only 15 yards on nine carries last week. Was the extra money worth going to Arizona and missing out on the Colts fantastic season?

STEVE SMITH
Carolina Panthers, WR
Comment: Smith had just 15 yards last week and 18 yards receiving the week prior. Do you think he misses Jake Delhomme?

ANTONIO GATES
San Diego Chargers, TE
Comment: Gates only had one catch for 10 yards in Minnesota last week. Expect him to bounce back in a big way this week when Indy comes to town.

JOHN KASAY
Carolina Panthers, K
Comment: Kasay hasn't made a field goal since Week 6. It's not all his fault — when the offense doesn't get the ball into field goal range it's hard to get points as a kicker.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Defense
Comment: They let Big Ben and Co. walk all over them en route to a 38-point massacre last week. They'll have their hands full again this week when the Bengals high-powered offense comes to town.

DREW BREES
New Orleans Saints, QB
Comment: Last week he threw for 445 yards and three touchdowns against the Jags. This week he's got the Rams. Brees could feasibly throw for over 500 yards on Sunday afternoon against the worst show on turf.

JON KITNA
Detroit Lions, QB
Comment: He threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns last week. Expect much of the same from the desert this week against the Cards.

BRIAN WESTBROOK
Philadelphia Eagles, RB
Comment: After that dismal performance against the Cowboys there is no way the Eagles lose another division game to the 'Skins. Start Westbrook and expect big numbers from him.

REGGIE BUSH
New Orleans Saints, RB
Comment: Bush is playing against the Rams who are terrible against the pass and run. Expect big things from Bush this weekend.

T.J. HOUSHMANDZADAH
Cincinnati Bengals, WR
Comment: He scored a touchdown in every game this season and is one of the most consistent receivers in the game. Facing a Baltimore defense that was dismantled last week should be no problem for Housh'.

PLAXICO BURRESS
New York Giants, WR
Comment: After a weak performance against Miami last Sunday and an equally shanty performance against San Fran the week before, Plax will want to get back on track this Sunday. He lit them up in Week 1 for 144 yards and three scores. Why can’t he do it again?

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: He's been hot the last few weeks. Keep starting him until he lets you down and ride this hot streak to the end.

ANTONIO GATES
San Diego Chargers, TE
Comment: After having only one catch for ten yards last week, you can bet your bottom dollar that Gates will find his way back into the offense on Sunday.

JASON HANSON
Detroit Lions, K
Comment: He's one of the hottest kickers in the league as of late and his team is playing the Cardinals. This all equates to a lot of points for Hanson this week...MMMMMBop.

DAVID AKERS
Philadelphia Eagles, K
Comment: With McNabb's inability to move the ball, the only way that the Eagles are going to get any points is via Akers. They don't want to lose another division game, so expect Akers to come up big this week.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Defense
Comment: It's never a bad idea to start this hard-hitting group of guys, especially when they're playing the Browns. Start the Steelers D and enjoy the feast of points.

DALLAS COWBOYS
Defense
Comment: They're getting Tank Johnson back this weekend. He'll make a difference in the Meadowlands and earn the Dallas D many points this weekend.

DEREK ANDERSON
Cleveland Browns, QB
Comment: He's been hot these past few weeks. But when the Browns head to Pittsburgh on Sunday, he won't put up those flashy numbers like he has been. Fact.

JASON CAMPBELL
Washington Redskins, QB
Comment: He hasn't thrown for more than 250 yards in a single game this season. With Philly coming off an embarrassing loss to Dallas, don't expect that trend to reverse this week when the Iggles come to town.

JAMAL LEWIS
Cleveland Browns, RB
Comment: He only had 37 yards last week. Granted he had four scores, but this weekend against a tough Pittsburgh defense is not the time to start Lewis.

MAURICE JONES-DREW
Jacksonville Jaguars, RB
Comment: He only had 32 yards on seven carries last time around against the Titans. Don't expect Drew to do anything more than get a dozen or so points, if that. This match-up is for the birds.

BRAYLON EDWARDS
Cleveland Browns, WR
Comment: Did you notice how there are two Browns on this list already? It's not a mistake, the Browns have no shot in Pittsburgh; don't start any Cleveland player this week for any reason.

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: His quarterback is a lame duck and he's not going to put up great numbers in the Nations' capital. The Eagles passing game is so bad that even the Redskins have a shot at stopping it.

KELLEN WINSLOW
Cleveland Browns, TE
Comment: Again, Browns against the Steelers. Don't do it.

DALLAS CLARK
Indianapolis Colts, TE
Comment: Clark only has four catches for 37 yards the last two weeks. He's sketchy to start this week in San Diego, so avoid if possible.

LAWRENCE TYNES
New York Giants, K
Comment: He's a bum. Tynes is the kicker's equivalent of Chad Pennington.

JOHN KASAY
Carolina Panthers, K
Comment: He's a bad kicker on a bad team. That's a terrible combination; steer clear of this guy.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
Defense
Comment: They have to face the Colts...that's not a good thing. Peyton is going to shred this defense and have his way with the Bolts.

CINCINNATI BENGALS
Defense
Comment: The Cincy D put up 20 points against the Ravens in Week 1. If you think lightning is going to strike twice in a season, then you have another thing coming. Avoid this match-up at all costs.

Andrew Corselli is UPDATE! National Football League Editor.

6 Baltimore Ravens quarterback Steve McNair has six fumbles in the five games he's played this season.

5 Pittsburgh Steelers running back Willie Parker has five 100-yard games this season. That's the most of any running back in the league.

2 Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is the first rookie to have two 200-yard rushing games in a season.

0 There has not been a single Bengals game this season in which wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadah didn't catch an end zone pass.

PRIEST HOLMES
Kansas City Chiefs, RB
Comment: He only had eight yards on three carries last week, but with Larry Johnson out this week he should more than make up for it. If he's available in your league do the right thing and pick him up. You won't regret it.

LADAINIAN TOMLINSON
vs. Colts Defense
Comment: The NFL's premiere running back vs. one of the toughest defenses in the game. This should be one of the most entertaining match-ups in football.

Eli Manning
vs. Tank Johnson
Comment: Fresh off his stint in the joint, Tank is going to want to make an immediate impact in the league. Will Eli be crafty enough to avoid the pressure?

Adrian Peterson
vs. Packers Defense
Comment: It will be fun to see how the future Rookie of the Year follows up his record setting performance.

JAY CUTLER
Denver Broncos, QB
Comment: Coach Mike Shanahan said that Cutler will be ready to go barring a setback. Expect him to get the start.

TODD HEAP
Baltimore Ravens, TE
Comment: Heap took part in the Ravens practice on Wednesday. His hamstring has been healing better, but there has been no official word on his status for Sunday.

LARRY JOHNSON
Kansas City Chiefs, RB
Comment: John Clayton reported that Johnson will not be playing on Sunday. His foot is in no shape to take the beating of an NFL game.

WILLIS MCGAHEE
Baltimore Ravens, RB
Comment: McGahee did practice on Wednesday and should be ready to go on Sunday. He suffered a concussion on Monday night.

WILLIE PARKER
Pittsburgh Steelers, RB
Comment: Steelers' coach Mike Tomlin said Parker will play on Sunday against the Browns. He suffered from inflammation in his knee after the game on Monday night.

GIANTS vs. COWBOYS

Sunday, 4:15 p.m. ET (FOX-TV)
This game's a classic NFC East battle. Two of the top teams in the NFC battling it out in what should be a hard-nosed, backyard, physical football game. Well worth the price of admission.
