POSTED 12-13-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy football. Facts don't lie and The Huddle is full of 'em. Projections for the week of Dec. 13-Dec. 17. Stats through Dec. 12:

TONY ROMO
Dallas Cowboys, QB
Comment: He threw for 302 yards and two scores in one of the most improbable comebacks of the year. Romo has thrown 611 yards and six touchdown in the last two games. Did I mention he's also dating Jessica Simpson?

LADANIAN TOMLINSON
San Diego Chargers, RB
Comment: He's broken 140 yards the last two games and scored three touchdowns in the process. Also, with his overtime touchdown run, he earned his third game-winning score of the season. Nobody in the history of the NFL has more 'walk-off' scores.

TORRY HOLT
St. Louis Rams, WR
Comment: With his 90-yard, eight-catch game against the Bungles, Big-Game-Torry-Holt recorded his eighth straight 1,000-yard receiving season.

JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: He had 15 catches against the Detroit Lions last week. That's a record for tight ends; he's having a great season and there's no reason to think that will change.

SHAYNE GRAHAM
Cincinnati Bengals, K
Comment: He kicked four field goals against the St. Louis Rams last week. He'll get many more opportunities this week against the San Francisco 49ers.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Defense
Comment: It's Week 15 and they haven't lost a game all season. They could be one of the best teams ever.

DEREK ANDERSON
Cleveland Browns, QB
Comment: Anderson failed to break 200 yards passing for only the third time this season on Sunday. Expect him to get back on the right track against the Bills.

WILLIE PARKER
Pittsburgh Steelers, RB
Comment: Despite a phenomenal game against the mighty Pats, Parker has not scored a touchdown since Week 8. Don't expect him to break that streak against the underrated Jacksonville Jaguars.

T.J. HOUSHMANDZADAH
Cincinnati Bengals, WR
Comment: He hasn't scored a touchdown in three weeks and hasn't broken 100 yards receiving since Week 6. Housh hasn't been himself lately, that could change when Cincy heads to San Francisco this weekend.

KELLEN WINSLOW
Cleveland Browns, TE
Comment: The Soldier averaged 34.5 yards the last two weeks. On top of that, he hasn't scored a touchdown in said period.

JASON HANSON
Detroit Lions, K
Comment: He missed an imperative kick that cost his team the game. He's lucky that he's not hanging in his locker right now.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Defense
Comment: They got smoked by Denver; absolutely lit up. They better hope they fare better this week against the Tennessee Titans.

TOM BRADY
New England Patriots, QB
Comment: He's playing one of the worst defenses in a revenge scenario after the New York Jets ratted out coach Bill Belichick for taping signals earlier in the season. It's possible he puts up 500-plus yards and upwards of seven touchdowns.

CARSON PALMER
Cincinnati Bengals, QB
Comment: He hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in the last two games, averaging 186 yards over that span. Expect that to change against the San Francisco 49ers this week.

MARION BARBER
Dallas Cowboys, RB
Comment: Barber didn't gain many yards the last two weeks, but he did score two touchdown. Expect him to light up the Eagles when Philly comes into town.

WILLIS MCGAHEE
Baltimore Ravens, RB
Comment: He only had 45 yards against the Indianapolis Colts last week; he could break the rushing record this week. Baltimore is playing the miserable Miami Dolphins, and it's a homecoming game for McGahee.

RANDY MOSS
New England Patriots, WR
Comment: A revenge game against the New York Jets? I'm in! Start him and you could set fantasy records this Sunday.

TERREL OWENS
Dallas Cowboys, WR
Comment: If you think T.O. doesn't want to embarrass his old team, you're wrong. Expect Owens to put up ridiculous numbers when the Philadelphi Eagles fly into town.

ANTONIO GATES
San Diego Chargers, TE
Comment: He bounced back from his one-yard performance with a 57-yard game. Expect him to be even better this week against the Detroit Lions.

DONALD LEE
Green Bay Packers, TE
Comment: Lee had 71 yards last week and gets many red zone looks. He's as solid a tight end as any. Start him if you got him.

LAWRENCE TYNES
New York Giants, K
Comment: He has not missed a field goal since Week 8.

MASON CROSBY
Green Bay Packers, K
Comment: He missed a few field goals last week in the blowout at Lambeau, but the cold weather won't bother him in the dome at St. Louis.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Defense
Comment: They have the winless Dolphins this week; if there's a team they can beat it's Miami.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Defense
Comment: The Purple People Eaters will have Kyle Orton for desert this Sunday. This is the defense to start if you have them.

TONY ROMO
Dallas Cowboys, QB
Comment: With everything in the NFC all but clinched, don't expect him to play the whole game.

ELI MANNING
New York Giants, QB
Comment: The G-Men are going to run, run, run and then run the ball some more. Don't expect Little Brother to put up great numbers.

FRED TAYLOR
Jacksonville Jaguars, RB
Comment: He's on a hot streak, breaking 100 yards rushing in each of the last three games, but he will not triumph against the Steelers. They are too tough and will not give up to this old man.

EDGERRIN JAMES
Arizona Cardinals, RB
Comment: He only had 46 yards on 13 rushes last week; don't expect much more from him this week. Avoid James and avoid many a headache.

BERNARD BERRIAN
Chicago Bears, WR
Comment: He's playing against Minnesota's defense and Kyle Orton is his quarterback. If you can't beat out Rex Grossman on the depth chart, you don't deserve a shot in the NFL.

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: He will not penetrate the Dallas secondary, don't expect much from him.

JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: The Giants are going to run often, leaving little opportunity for him to Shock the world. Don't count on Shockey much this week.

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: He hurt his ankle, so don't expect him to play that well this week.

MIKE NUGENT
New York Jets, K
Comment: He's going against the Pats. They will eat New York's offense alive, leaving no time for him to kick. Avoid at all costs.

SHAUN SUISHAM
Washington Redskins, K
Comment: He will not fare well with the swirling winds of the Meadowlands. Avoid starting this guy.

NEW YORK JETS
Defense
Comment: They have the Patriots, the undefeated Patriots. If you have a fantasy death-wish start the Jets defense.

DETROIT LIONS
Defense
Comment: After that mental breakdown against Dallas there's no way they man-up and find a way to stop LT.

360 The Cleveland Browns have scored 360 points this season; that's the most the team has scored since the 1987 season.

183 Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is only 183 yards shy of tying Dan Marino for most all-time.

22 New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady recorded his 22nd career 300-yard passing game on Sunday night.

3 Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor recorded his third straight 100-yard rushing game. It's the first time he's done that since 2004.

KYLE ORTON
Chicago Bears, QB
Comment: Hey, at least he's not Rex Grossman.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
vs. Detroit Lions
Comment: These two teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs, although Detroit’s are nearly gone.

NEW YORK GIANTS
vs. Redskins
Comment: You've got a classic NFC East rivalry here. This one should be entertaining, as the G-Men try to solidify their playoff presence. Unfortunately, Washington's playoff hopes are dead in the water right now.

ERIC MANGINI
vs. Bill Belichick
Comment: We'll see if the whistle-blower can beat his former mentor and stop the run at perfection.

MARC BULGER
St. Louis Rams, QB
Comment: Bulger is unsure about his return this season after suffering a concussion.

REGGIE BUSH
New Orleans Saints, RB
Comment: He's out for the year with a knee injury.

TRENT DILFER
San Francisco 49ers, QB
Comment: Dilfer is doubtful for Sunday's game with a concussion, but if you were counting on him as your fantasy quarterback your season is probably over anyway.

JEFF GARCIA
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, QB
Comment: Garcia took part in practice on Wednesday and says he feels ready to play. Coach Gruden even announced that Garcia would make the start.

LORENZO NEAL
San Diego Chargers, FB
Comment: He's out for the rest of the year. LaDainian Tomlinson will have to find a new lead blocker

PATRIOTS vs. JETS

Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET (NFL-TV)
The sweetest revenge is running up the score by 50 points and there's a very good chance we'll get to see it come Sunday. New York Jets coach Eric Mangini called out his former mentor for cheating during Week 1; now it's the grasshopper that must pay the price. This one could be an abacus game for the ages.
