POSTED 12-5-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy football. Facts don't lie and The Huddle is full of 'em. Projections for the week of Dec. 6-Dec. 10. Stats through Dec. 5:

TONY ROMO
Dallas Cowboys, QB
Comment: He threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night. This guy has a penchant for playing well in big games. Romo is no joke and will be a big-time player for seasons to come.

FRED TAYLOR
Jacksonville Jaguars, RB
Comment: Freddy T has broken 100-yards rushing the past two games and scored a touchdown last week. He has proven he's still relevant even with MO-JO Drew on the roster.

TERRELL OWENS
Dallas Cowboys, WR
Comment: The last game he was held without a touchdown was Week 5 and he has 11 since then. There's no way he can be a bad teammate with so much production under his belt.

DALLAS CLARK
Indianapolis Colts, TE
Comment: He has three touchdowns in the last two games after a four-week drought. Clark has been hotter than most tight ends in the league with the exception of, maybe, Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten.

RIAN LINDELL
Buffalo Bills, K
Comment: He had five field goals on Sunday against the Redskins. It was fine until he hit the last one with a few seconds left, spoiling the Redskins tribute to Sean Taylor.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Defense
Comment: They did the best job they could of stopping the juggernaut that is New England. Even though they technically got the loss, everyone who saw the game knows the truth...the Pats should be 11-1.

A.J. FEELEY
Philadelphia Eagles, QB
Comment: After throwing for 345 yards and three touchdowns against the greatest team ever two weeks ago, Feeley's star has faded and he was exposed as a mediocre quarterback. Everybody who was ready to crown him the next Joe Montana will have to accept the fact that he's a bum.

DERRICK WARD
New York Giants, RB
Comment: Even though he broke 150 yards rushing and scored a touchdown, he broke his fibula and landed on the IR list. To make matters worse, he leaves his G-Men with no great back...Ruben Droughns doesn't count.

RANDY MOSS
New England Patriots, WR
Comment: I bet you never thought you'd see him on this list, but through the last two games Moss has only 77 yards on nine catches and one touchdown. Those are not terrible numbers, but for a man of his stature they should be a little more inflated.

ANTONIO GATES
San Diego Chargers, TE
Comment: At one point in the season he was hailed as the best tight end in the game today. I’m not saying he’s not anymore, but he only had one catch for negative-one yards last week. I guess when L.T. is on the tight end doesn't have to be.

ADAM VINATIERI
Indianapolis Colts, K
Comment: The supposed most clutch kicker in NFL history has converted only five of his last 10 field goals.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Defense
Comment: The Patriots allowed 138 yards rushing to Willis McGahee alone. The chinks in their collective armor are beginning to show. It's only a matter of time before they get beaten.

PEYTON MANNING
Indianapolis Colts, QB
Comment: His Colts are playing the Baltimore Ravens, a team who just got robbed of an important victory against the New England Patriots. If you think Manning won't exploit that weakness for all it's worth, you're wrong. Expect big things from Peyton in Baltimore.

CARSON PALMER
Cincinnati Bengals, QB
Comment: He played like trash against the Steelers, but that's because they're one of the best defenses in the league. Cincinnati is playing the Rams this week, so expect Carson to have a huge game against one of the worst defenses in the league.

LADANIAN TOMLINSON
San Diego Chargers, RB
Comment: He was three yards away from having 200 all-purpose yards last week against the Chiefs, he did get two scores, though. This guy is hot and to not start him against the Tennessee Titans is moronic. Go get a Vizio and put L.T. in your lineup.

WILLIS MCGAHEE
Baltimore Ravens, RB
Comment: He single-handedly kept the Ravens in the game against the Patriots. He had the game of his life and will ride that momentum into next week when Indy comes to town. 138 yards against the undefeated Patriots, how can you not start him?

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: He had a big game against the Seahawks and will stay hot against the Giants. Expect modest numbers, yardage-wise, but count on Curtis for a few scores.

BRAYLON EDWARDS
Cleveland Browns, WR
Comment: He exploded for 149 yards against the Arizona Cardinals, expect better numbers from him against the lowly Jets this week. After getting a victory snatched away last week with that no-push-out-call against Winslow, the Browns will be looking for vengeance in the Swamp this week.

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: This guy is on point; last week Gonzalez caught 10 balls for 140 yards. Despite a few poor performances within the last few weeks, T-Gone has been en fuego and arguably one of the best tight ends in the game this season.

KELLEN WINSLOW
Cleveland Browns, TE
Comment: The Soldier only had three catches for 35 yards, but the one that got away really stung. The last-second push-out no-call left a bad taste in his mouth, and the Browns will take it out on the Jets. The Browns know they are a playoff team and Winslow will help them prove it against the Jets this week. Expect big things from KW Junior.

STEPHEN GOSTKOWSKI
New England Patriots, K
Comment: The Patriots will not get into the end zone too often against the Steelers, so expect a lot of field goal attempts for Gostkowski this weekend.

NICK FOLK
Dallas Cowboys, K
Comment: He put up double-digit fantasy points the past two weeks. There's no reason to believe that will change against Detroit. The Lions have been falling fast, and with all the touchdowns that Romo will put up Folk should register a lot of points.

DALLAS COWBOYS
Defense
Comment: The Cowboys will get the best of the Roy Williams-less Lions. Start these guys and expect big things; the Lions are on a downward spiral and the Cowboys will take full advantage of that.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Defense
Comment: They have five turnovers in the last two games. What do you think is going to happen when the bush-league 49ers come to town? Start the Purple-People-Eaters...C'mon, do it.

DONOVAN MCNABB
Philadelphia Eagles, QB
Comment: A divisional game against a tough Giants defense is not the time to try to prove your worth in Philly. D-Mac is still probably not 100% and trying to rush back is never smart. svoid starting this guy at all costs.

ELI MANNING
New York Giants, QB
Comment: If the Giants have no running back then the Philly D can focus on shutting down the passing game. Derrick Ward is out, so they probably will not have a running game; don't expect Eli to make many great plays and do everything in your power to avoid starting him.

JAMAL LEWIS
Cleveland Browns, RB
Comment: He only had 62 yards on 16 carries against the Cardinals last week. Don't expect him to do any better in the Meadowlands against the Jets this week.

MAURICE JONES-DREW
Jacksonville Jaguars, RB
Comment: He has only 95 rushing yards combined in the last three weeks. It's apparent he's taken a back-seat to Fred Taylor and until that changes avoid starting Jones-Drew.

PLAXICO BURRESS
New York Giants, WR
Comment: He's been injured the past few weeks and his numbers have been hurting. With no running game to stymie the defense, Eli will have a lot of trouble getting him the ball. Avoid Plax at all costs.

STEVE SMITH
Carolina Panthers, WR
Comment: With the lack of a decent quarterback under Center, Smith can't get the ball. He has no touchdowns since Week 6 and only six total on the year. Smith hasn't been himself this season and you should avoid starting him if you can.

JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: Shockey hasn't put up great numbers this season; he only has one 100-yard game and three touchdowns throughout the course of 2007. There's no reason to think that that would change in Philly this week.

DONALD LEE
Green Bay Packers, TE
Comment: He's never had more than 78 yards receiving in a single game and only has four touchdowns on the year. With a banged up Brett Favre, that stat might not change. Avoid Lee if possible.

JASON HANSON
Detroit Lions, K
Comment: The Lions will not score many points against the Cowboys, especially with Roy Williams out. Hanson is going to falter in the points department this week.

JOSH BROWN
Seattle Seahawks, K
Comment: Brown has only hit on five of his last 10. Much like Vinatieri, this guy started hot and then fizzled out. Forget about this guy, he's a bum.

NEW YORK JETS
Defense
Comment: They may have been able to stop the win-less Dolphins, but they have no hope against the legit Browns. Expect Gang-Green to lay down on Sunday afternoon.

ARIZONA CARDINALS
Defense
Comment: They may have put up good numbers against the Browns, but they will not hold their own against the Seahawks. Seattle is too talented a team to let the Cards get in their heads. Arizona will not get two picks, like they did against the Browns, and they will not be able to stop their passing attack.

Andrew Corselli is UPDATE! National Football League Editor.

43 New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has thrown a touchdown pass in every game this season; through 12 games he's totaled 41 touchdowns passing and two by foot.

6 Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has six 100-yard games in this, his rookie season. He's played in only ten games total, so 60% of the times he's stepped onto an NFL field, he's had a 100-yard game.

3 Tennessee Titans kicker Rob Bironas is 26-for-29 on field goal attempts this year, missing on only three tries.

2 Brett Favre has failed to break 200 yards passing just twice this season, one of which he suffered an injury to his arm.

CHRIS REDMAN
Atlanta Falcons, QB
Comment: A few weeks ago, Redman was selling insurance; this Sunday it looks like he might get the start at quarterback for Atlanta. Keep an eye on this guy, he is capable of putting up some dynamite numbers. Plus, as an Atlanta Falcons quarterback, he could be in a much worse situation.

TOM BRADY
vs. Steelers Defense
Comment: We'll get to see if the Golden Boy and his Pats can bounce back from two nail-biters the past two weeks. New England ranks first in offense and Pittsburgh first in defense, how can you not get excited for this guy?

CLEVELAND BROWNS
vs. Jets
Comment: It will be fun to see if the Browns can win after a tough loss to Arizona. Also, we'll get to see how the Jets fare against a real team...anyone can crush the winless Dolphins, it takes a real team to beat the Browns.

NEW YORK GIANTS
vs. Eagles
Comment: You got a classic rivalry here. It doesn't get much better, in terms of hatred, between fans and the opposing team; anytime these two squadrons get together you can expect a lot of fights on the field and in the stands. Intensify that disdain and you'll start to fathom the atmosphere when these two rivals play in the heat of a Wild Card race, like they will on Sunday.

BRETT FAVRE
Green Bay Packers, QB
Comment: Everyone can release their collective breaths, the ageless-one will play this week. Despite injuries to his shoulder, arm and ankle Favre will take the field and prolong his iron-man record for another week. He will have surgery on the ankle, but that will come after the season.

LARRY FITZGERALD
Arizona Cardinals, WR
Comment: Although no official word has been said, it appears that Fitz will start come Sunday. He aggravated his groin in Week 12 against San Francisco and didn't play last week.

STEVE MCNAIR
Baltimore Ravens, QB
Comment: McNair will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery. He was placed on the IR and, obviously, his season is over.

KURT WARNER
Arizona Cardinals, QB
Comment: Reports say that Warner will no longer relinquish goal-line duties to Tim Rattay. Warner is now the full-time quarterback, so apparently his elbow has gotten better.

ROY WILLIAMS
Detroit Lions, WR
Comment: Williams was placed on the IR list after Sunday's game. He injured a ligament in his knee; reportedly it's not torn, but he is done for the 2007 season.

PATRIOTS vs. STEELERS

Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET (NFL-TV)
One of the best defenses against one of the best offenses, this one will be another classic from what has been one crazy NFL season. Big Ben vs. Brady, Palamalu on Moss, Bill Belicheck against Omar Epps' stunt-double Mike Tomlin; if you miss this game, keep it to yourself because it's going to be an instant classic. Fact.
