POSTED 9-27-07

Our weekly digest of everything fantasy football. Facts don't lie and The Huddle is full of 'em. Projections for the week of Sept. 28-Oct. 1. Stats through Sept. 26:

TOM BRADY
New England Patriots, QB
Comment: Brady put up some pretty good numbers last week against Buffalo. 23-of-29 for 311 yards and four touchdowns is nothing to scoff at. Expect even better numbers this week when the Pats travel to Cincinnati to face a defense that let up 51 points to the Browns. They could break a C-note if Belichick can figure out "new ways" to win.

BRIAN WESTBROOK
Philadelphia Eagles, RB
Comment: Westbrook seems to be the go-to Eagle these days. Not only did he have 110 yards on 14 carries with two TDs in Week 3, he also had 111 yards on five catches and a receiving TD. He might not be able to soar at the Meadowlands on Sunday night due to an abdominal strain. Though he should be fine after some Midol, he's still a game-time decision.

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: His 221 yards on 11 catches with three TDs is more than double what he had the first two games. If Westbrook is out, Curtis could be a big part of the offense on Sunday night. Depending on which defense shows up for the G-Men that is.

JASON WITTEN
Dallas Cowboys, TE
Comment: Witten had 90 yards on six receptions with a touchdown last week against Chicago. He might have a tougher time this week against a St. Louis defense that ranks third in the league in Passing yards per game.

MATT STOVER
Baltimore Ravens, K
Comment: The Ravens should give Stover plenty of opportunities to kick extra points this week, they're playing the Browns. Even if they can't mosey on into the end zone, field goals will be bountiful.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Defense
Comment: The Steelers embarrassed the 49ers by 21 points. There's no telling what Polamalu and Co. will do with a potential quarterback controversy on the horizon in Arizona. Expect big things from the Steel Curtain in the desert this week.

REX GROSSMAN
Chicago Bears, QB
Comment: If you really want an explanation why, here's a fun fact: Since Week Six of last season, 'Sexy Rexy' has the lowest quarterback rating, the fewest completions and the most interceptions of any quarterback in the league.

LADAINIAN TOMLINSON
San Diego Chargers, RB
Comment: LT has 229 yards this year after three games. That's 229 rushing and passing yards combined, keep in mind. Throw in the fact that he's only gotten in the end zone twice this year (one rushing, one passing) and it makes you wonder if you should bench the player that went first in everybody’s draft. It's a tough call because if you do bench him, you know he’s going to rush for 200-plus yards and rush for five touchdowns.

BOBBY ENGRAM
Seattle Seahawks, WR
Comment: Bobby is averaging 65.7 yards per game — that's not good. What's worse is that teammate Deion Branch is barely out-averaging him at 66.3 yards per game and combined they have only two touchdowns. How the Seahawks are 2-1 amidst all this is beyond me.

JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: Shockey is off to a slow start, he's averaging just 60 YPG and has no touchdowns. Shockey had better cure what's ailing him because some serious divisional foes are coming to town this weekend. If he drops as many passes as he did last week against the Eagles on Sunday night, his G-Men could fall to 1-3.

SEBASTIAN JANIKOWSKI
Oakland Raiders, K
Comment: Janikowski is 5-for-9 on field goals this year. Granted three of those were from 50-plus yards, but he still boasts one of the worst field goal perentages in the league.

BUFFALO BILLS
Defense
Comment:The team has let up 79 points in three games. As if that beat-down from the Pat's last week wasn't bad enough, their second draft pick (34th overall), linebacker Paul Posluszny, was injured and is out for the season.

TOM BRADY
New England Patriots, QB
Comment: Brady to Moss is a deadly combination and the three-time Super Bowl champion is sure to amass plenty of stats against Cincy. Lest we forget, the Cleveland Browns dropped 51 points on these same Bungles two weeks ago.

TONY ROMO
Dallas Cowboys, QB
Comment: Romo is on fire right now. Don't expect him to slow down against the Rams; start him at all costs.

MARION BARBER
Dallas Cowboys, RB
Comment: Barber is their go-to back and they will need to establish a running game against the Rams. Look for Barber to have a big game on Sunday.

ADRIAN PETERSON
Minnesota Vikings, RB
Comment: He's up against a tough Packer defense this week, but still expect Peterson to have a big game this week.

RANDY MOSS
New England Patriots, WR
Comment: How can you not?

STEVE SMITH
Carolina Panthers, WR
Comment: Coming off of a one-catch, 10-yard performance, Smith will be looking for redemption this week against the Tampa Bay Bucanneers. You'd be foolish not to forgive and forget after the game he's going to have on Sunday.

JEREMY SHOCKEY
New York Giants, TE
Comment: Looking at the previous few weeks' stats, you wouldn't think to start him, but Shockey is going to have a big game against the Eagles. He always shows up for this big rivalry match.

ANTONIO GATES
San Diego Chargers, TE
Comment: Gates has been the one consistent parts of the Chargers offense. You'd be foolish not to give him the nod against a very weak Chiefs squad.

JEFF REED
Pittsburgh Steelers, K
Comment: Reed is a perfect nine-for-nine on field goals this season. He won't miss and the Steelers will be scoring a lot so there will be plenty of extra points as well.

ADAM VINATIERI
Indianapolis Colts, K
Comment: The scoring friendly Peyton Manning always puts him in contention for many kicking opportunities.

BALTIMORE RAVENS
Defense
Comment: Ray Lewis and his cohorts will have their way with the Browns. There will be big fantasy points in your future if you start the Ravens.

DALLAS COWBOYS
Defense
Comment: They're on a roll and show no signs of slowing down. Jump on this bandwagon before it’s too late.

TRENT GREEN
Miami Dolphins, QB
Comment: Green already has more interceptions and sacks than touchdowns. It would not be smart to start him, it might not even be smart to have him on your roster.

JEFF GARCIA
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, QB
Comment: Garcia is not a very good fantasy player. He'll win games in the real world, but he won't have pretty numbers in the process.

JAMAL LEWIS
Cleveland Browns, RB
Comment: Don't start Lewis against his old team. They have the best run defense in the NFL and will have no second thoughts about shutting down their former teammate.

DERRICK WARD
New York Giants, RB
Comment: Ward has a sore ankle. He might get you modest yards, but to make everything worse expect Ruben Droughns to steal some touchdowns away.

ANQUAN BOLDIN
Arizona Cardinals, WR
Comment: Despite being eighth in the league in receiving yards, Boldin will have a hard time going against Polamalu and the Steelers D.

KEVIN CURTIS
Philadelphia Eagles, WR
Comment: Don't expect Curtis to match his 221 yards and three touchdowns from last week anytime soon. He might get you some points, but not like he did against the Lions.

TONY GONZALEZ
Kansas City Chiefs, TE
Comment: T-Gone hasn't scored a touchdown yet and is struggling. He hasn't had a 100-yard game and has only receiving 167 yards thus far.

KELLEN WINSLOW
Cleveland Browns, TE
Comment: Even though he has had some impressive numbers the past three weeks, expect Winslow's stats to drop off. He has a bruised shoulder that could hinder his success on the field.

NEIL RACKERS
Arizona Cardinals, K
Comment: Despite having good numbers this season, Rackers will not have many opportunities to kick with his team going up against a tough Steelers team.

LAWRENCE TYNES
New York Giants, K
Comment: Kicking at the Meadowlands in late September is never easy. Those crazy winds could make a 'gimme' field goal into the top spot on the SportsCenter Not Top 10.

CINCINNATI BENGALS
Defense
Comment: They have a tough task at hand, stop Randy Moss. Few defenses can do that and Cincinnati is not one of them.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Defense
Comment: The Chiefs have played weak offenses the last two weeks, now they face a Chargers offense that needs to make a statement. Expect a good post-game press conference meltdown from Herm Edwards, but a bad defensive showing from the Chiefs.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Brian Westbrook was a Week 3 fantasy force.

110 Total yards Brian Westbrook had on the ground last week against the Lions.

4 Only four teams have kickers that can boast perfect kicking records this season: Chicago, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco.

1 Chicago Bears quarterback has thrown just one touchdown this season.

0 Kicks David Akers has missed this year. Akers is 9-for-9 on extra points and 6-for-6 on field goals.

KURT WARNER
Arizona Cardinals, QB
Comment: Don't be fooled by Matt Leinart's arrogance, Kurt Warner will see playing time in the coming weeks. Legend has it that Warner will run the 2-Minute Drill and Leinart will start.

CARSON PALMER
vs. Tom Brady
Comment: Two of the league's top quarterbacks square off in what should be a high scoring duel. Who will be on top when the final scores are tallied? This one could be destined for ESPN Instant Classic status.

GIANTS
vs. Eagles
Comment: A great rivalry in its own right. The Giants need to make a statement in this game to prove they're for real. The Eagles need to do the same, these two teams always make for exciting football.

STEVE SMITH
vs. Tampa Bay Defense
Comment: Coming off of a weak performance, Smith will want to score early and often. Can the Bucanneers stop him? Only time will tell; this one should be a great duel.

ANQUAN BOLDIN
Arizona Cardinals, WR
Comment: Boldin didn't practice on Thursday for the second straight day. He hurt his hip last week and it is unclear if he will be able to start.

JAKE DELHOMME
Carolina Panthers, QB
Comment: Delhomme sat out for the second consecutive day of practice on Thursday with a sore right elbow. Coach John Fox has not issued a statement as to whether Delhomme or David Carr will start at quarterback on Sunday.

JOSH MCCOWN
Oakland Raiders, QB
Comment: McCown has been sidelined for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Culpepper will get the start and the opportunity to show the Dolphins what they missed out on.

BRIAN WESTBROOK
Phildelphia Eagles, RB
Comment: Westbrook did not practice on Wednesday but did say that he intends on playing. If his abdominal strain does keep him sidelined, expect Correll Buckhalter to carry the load.

KELLEN WINSLOW
Cleveland Browns, TE
Comment: Winslow's practice was limited this week due to a separated left shoulder. Winslow still claims he's playing on Sunday, but Baltimore's defense may be too tough for him.

BENGALS @ PATRIOTS

Sunday, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
A game which many consider to be the potential AFC Championship game. If you don't watch this one, you'd better have a good excuse. Could be one of the best matchups of this young season.
